Yield aggregator pages that look "APY seems pretty attractive," my first reaction now isn't to calculate how much I can earn, but to think: Who is actually paying on the other side of this yield, are there any strange permissions in the contract, how many layers of funds are involved... In other words, interest doesn't just drop out of nowhere. Recently, whenever new L1/L2 incentives boost TVL rapidly, old users complain "mining and selling," which I understand. It's lively, but if the counterparty's sentiment changes, the exit channels start to clog. When the market turns green, I just want to pull out, anyway, just to stay alive.

If I could only keep one habit: check contract permissions and upgradeability.
