Last night before bed, I saw another high APY for re-staking, and I almost reached for the confirm button but pulled back... The compounded returns are really tempting, but the risks also stack up. To put it simply, don’t take “shared security” as “shared immunity.” When I look at these kinds of things now, I first ask myself two questions: where does the money come from, and who pays if something goes wrong? If I can’t answer, I just treat it as a dream. Recently, modularization and DeFi layer narratives have developers excited and passionate, but I (the user) am actually a bit confused. Anyway, the more new concepts there are, the easier it is to add illusions on top. Keep your positions a bit smaller, and sleep more soundly.
