I increasingly feel that strategies like grid/DCA, which are "slow and steady," are essentially about buying sleep.
You don't need to watch every single candlestick; at most, check if the exchange net inflow and outflow suddenly become abnormal, or if macro liquidity is starting to tighten again... Just have a general direction in mind.
On the other hand, a quick trade feels great when you make money, but honestly, it's like trading sleep for excitement.
People who can withstand it are not necessarily incapable.
Recently, AI agents, automated trading, and on-chain interactions have become popular again, with narratives being hyped up, but what I care more about is:
Are permissions too broad? Are the contracts prone to common pitfalls? Can authorizations be revoked with one click?
Automation is fine, but neglecting security can be very dangerous.
To give a life analogy: on-chain authorization is a bit like giving the delivery guy your house key for convenience.
Of course, you can save a lot of trouble by not going downstairs, but don’t give a master key...
Anyway, I now prefer "less fuss, able to sleep peacefully," even if it means earning more slowly.
