Recently, as I look at IBC and other cross-chain messaging solutions, the more I see, the more I feel that a single "crossing over" is actually a walk within a chain of trust: the source chain's consensus must be stable, the light client/verification logic must be error-free, relayers must not go offline, the target chain must execute properly, and there are various timeout/rollback rules... Any weak link in the chain can turn it into a "storm on the bridge." AI agents have recently been fond of automatically running on-chain interactions, which essentially tests the boundaries of these components more. The more hype there is around the narrative, the more I want to lower my expectations first, and instead feel more relaxed: if it can be confirmed gradually, there's no need to rush into full automation with a single click. Just keep it like this for now.
