Recently, people keep asking me "how to handle on-chain lag," but actually, many times it's not your internet connection... Indexers and subgraphs are running behind the scenes like a small shop bookkeeping, data needs to be fetched, organized, and then presented to you; when RPC rate limiting hits, it just gives you a "please try again later" message, and the UI looks like it's dead. The most embarrassing thing is you stare at the liquidation chart thinking the market is about to move, but it’s just data delay scaring you, and I’ve also been misled and accidentally moved my positions, which I think was pretty stupid in hindsight. Now there are a bunch of AI Agents for automatic interaction and trading flying around, but honestly, when on-chain interactions hit rate limits or unstable nodes, who’s the backup? The more they hype it up, the more I want to focus on safety details—anyway, don’t get too carried away.
