Just now I transferred a small amount across chains, and I accidentally copied a part of the memo incorrectly. I was frozen on the chain explorer… staring at the browser for a long time, feeling like my heartbeat was racing to keep up with the block confirmation race. Honestly, crossing a chain isn’t just about trusting the “bridge”: don’t mess with the frontend, don’t sign transactions carelessly in your wallet, and don’t let the source or target chain go offline. You also have to trust relayers to actually carry the messages like IBC, and verify with light clients—any glitch in any link, and you can only pray. What’s more annoying is that now everyone is arguing about validators/miners relying too much on MEV, unfair ordering, and retail traders’ transactions being like they’re being cut in line… I’ve learned my lesson anyway—try small amounts first, double-check addresses, don’t get carried away.
