Pentagon Clears Google, OpenAI and SpaceX for AI on Classified Networks
The Pentagon cleared eight technology firms to deploy AI on classified military networks. The systems will run at Impact Level 6 and Impact Level 7, which cover secret-level and more sensitive intelligence environments. The Pentagon said the effort will support GenAI.mil, which has been used by more than 1.3 million personnel in five months.
