Golden Finance reports that on May 5th, U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a speech at the Small Business Summit on the topic of energy cooperation with Venezuela. Trump stated that the United States currently has a “good relationship” with Venezuela and described related actions as “progressing smoothly.” He pointed out that large energy companies have begun to enter Venezuela to develop resources. Regarding energy cooperation, Trump said that the U.S. is obtaining “hundreds of millions of barrels of oil” from Venezuela and transporting it to U.S. regions including Houston for refining, and that the relationship between the two sides is “almost like a partnership.” He also emphasized that the current U.S. oil and natural gas production has reached a historic high.
