Just scrolled through Bitcoin's January 1st prices over the years and honestly the journey is wild. Started from basically nothing back in 2011 at $0.30, then we're talking $316 by 2015. Fast forward to 2017 and that bull run hit $980 on Jan 1st alone.
The volatility is insane when you look at it this way. 2018 dropped to $13,417 (rough year), but 2021 saw $29,172 on the first day. Then 2022 bounced back to $46,985 before the recent cycle peaked at $93,958 on January 1st 2025. Now we're looking at $87,850 to start 2026.
What strikes me is how each January snapshot tells a completely different story about where the market was at that exact moment. The bitcoin price trajectory from early 2011 to now really shows how far we've come. Makes you wonder what January 9 2026 and beyond will look like for Bitcoin's next chapter.
