Golden Finance reports that on May 5th, the Trump administration is considering issuing an executive order to establish an Artificial Intelligence Task Force aimed at strengthening regulation of this emerging technology. One proposal requires implementing a government review process for new AI models. The report states that White House officials informed executives from Anthropic, Google’s parent company Alphabet, and OpenAI about some of the proposed plans during a meeting last week. This move marks a shift in President Trump’s attitude toward artificial intelligence. Previously, he had championed the development of AI and promoted industry growth through measures such as easing regulations, supporting data center construction, and ensuring electricity supply. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is also managing its relationship with Anthropic. The conflict between the two sides stems from U.S. concerns over their powerful Mythos AI model and its potential military applications.
