Just reviewed XRP's January 2026 chart and it was honestly a wild ride. Started strong around $1.85, then pumped hard to $2.42 in that first week—over 30% gain. Everyone was hyped about the regulatory news and ETF flows. But then things got messy. Mid-month the momentum just died, started forming lower highs and lows. By end of month it had cratered below support and closed around $1.72. Pretty brutal actually, ended the month down like 6-7% overall. The XRP news around that time looked bullish with Ripple's legal stuff clearing up, but macro headwinds took over. Sticky inflation, rate cut uncertainty, the whole market turned risk-off. Classic crypto move—fundamentals look good but price follows the broader sentiment. Ended January consolidating below $1.80 while everyone waited for clarity. Interesting how quickly that early optimism evaporated.
