I've noticed that many beginner traders make the same mistake — they think the cryptocurrency market is the same at any hour of the day or night. In reality, this is not the case. Although trading is 24/7, activity varies dramatically depending on the time.
This is the essence of the cryptocurrency trading session schedule. Each period has its own character, and if you learn to distinguish them, your results will significantly improve.
The Asian session (00:00 - 09:00 UTC) — this is my favorite period for planning. The market moves more calmly here, with fewer sharp jumps. Perfect if you're a long-term investor or prefer not to rush decisions. You can analyze the situation calmly without being distracted by constant fluctuations.
The European session (09:00 - 18:00 UTC) — wow. The entire market wakes up here. Liquidity skyrockets, prices move actively, and if you're an active trader, this is your time. Lots of news, lots of movement. Of course, the risk is higher too, but the opportunities are enormous.
The American session (15:00 - 00:00 UTC) — the period of maximum volatility. Major news is published here, traders close positions, and sharp movements begin. If you specialize in short-term trading, this is your window.
One important point that is often overlooked. Not all days are the same. Monday is usually slow — people are just getting into work mode. But Friday is when profit-taking begins, and sharp fluctuations are possible. This should be considered when planning.
The point is to understand these market rhythms and adapt to them. Time really is money, but only if you know exactly when you can make that money. Keep an eye on the trading session schedule, adjust your strategy, and results will follow.
