Lately, watching the market feels more and more like reading the interest rate face... When interest rates go up, everyone's risk appetite immediately shrinks, basically saying "save your life first, then talk about dreams." I'm okay with holding BTC long-term; my position doesn't move much, but the sentiment on altcoins really turns cold in an instant, even fewer arguments in the group chat.
And that main public chain is about to upgrade/maintain, everyone is guessing whether the ecosystem will migrate, but I see it more as an excuse: when macro tightens, everyone wants to find a reason to withdraw first.
If interest rates weren't so high at the time, these discussions about "should we migrate" might be more about technical details. Now, the wind isn't right anyway, so better to hold back and not force it.
