Crypto news, UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) announced that three ships were attacked near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday. An oil tanker was hit by an unidentified projectile 78 nautical miles north of Fujairah, UAE, with reports stating all crew members are safe and no environmental impact occurred. Another cargo ship reported a fire in its engine room 36 nautical miles north of Dubai, UAE, with the cause of the fire currently unclear; all crew members are safe and accounted for. A third vessel caught fire approximately 14 nautical miles west of Mina Sakar, UAE, with nearby ships advised to maintain a safe distance. The cause of the fire has not been confirmed. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy previously stated that any maritime activity not in accordance with their published guidelines would face serious risks, and violator ships will be forcibly intercepted.
