Today, the on-chain data got a hiccup again. I thought maybe my internet was bad… Later I figured it was probably the indexer/subgraph “catching up on homework,” plus the RPC getting rate-limited, so the front end feels like lining up at a dessert shop—people are right at the door, yet the system says, “Please wait a moment.” To put it simply, a lot of what you see as “real-time” is data that someone else has already processed and packaged for you first, and when things get busy, it lags. During the airdrop season, everyone is grinding tasks like they’re going to work; platforms also run anti-sybil measures and a point system. Once the query volume spikes, it’s even easier to get clogged. Anyway, when I see the loading spinner now, I take a deep breath first: don’t lose your cool. It might not be that your fingers are slow—maybe the data is just catching its breath.
