Getting into crypto was honestly rough at first. I had this family friend who was really into trading bitcoin, and he eventually became my mentor, but before that I was just confused by everything I read. Sure, I knew Bitcoin existed, but most of what I learned came from random people talking about it, not from actually understanding it. When I tried to dig deeper and read actual articles, they were boring as hell and way too technical for someone just starting out. That's when I realized the problem wasn't me - it was that the crypto space is full of jargon and insider language that makes it unnecessarily hard for newcomers to get in. That's actually what got me thinking about becoming a crypto content writer. The whole point is to translate all this complicated stuff into something regular people can actually understand and engage with. If you're thinking about going down this path too, here's what I learned along the way. First thing is the piggyback effect. Don't try to create some brand new topic nobody's talking about. Write about what's already trending in crypto and give your take on it. Your audience will tell you what they want to know more about, and then you research it and explain it in plain language. That feedback loop is crucial when you're starting out as a crypto content writer. You learn what resonates and what doesn't. Second is research, but do it smart. Yeah, researching something you don't fully understand yet can feel overwhelming, but asking yourself what questions your audience might have is a solid starting point. I spend a lot of time reading what other successful writers put out - not to copy them, but to see what actually works and what falls flat. That teaches you more than you'd think. The third thing I'd say is don't fall into the trap of thinking you need to know everything. I'm definitely not the best at breaking down trading strategies and chart patterns for beginners. That's not my lane. But I do understand trading psychology and how people lose money making emotional decisions, so I focus on that instead. Knowing what you're actually good at and what you're not is what separates mediocre crypto content writer work from stuff people actually want to read. Find your angle, stick with it, and keep pushing out content. That's really it.
