Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The U.S. commitment to a ceasefire and other possible arrangements must include Israel

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stated on the 4th that regarding Iran’s stance on Israel and its role in negotiations, the so-called ceasefire consensus was reached between Iran and the United States, and according to the U.S. statement, they explicitly claim to represent Israel in this war. Therefore, Kanaani emphasized that if a ceasefire agreement is reached in the future or arrangements are made to end the war in further negotiations, the U.S. commitments must also cover its “proxy” in the region, namely Israel. Additionally, he pointed out that Iran’s policy towards Israel has not changed and still does not recognize the Israeli government. (CCTV News)
