Iran releases new map of the Strait of Hormuz region under its control

On May 4th local time, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy released a new map of the Strait of Hormuz region. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy stated that the new area controlled and managed by Iran’s armed forces in the Strait of Hormuz is bounded by: to the south, the line connecting Iran’s Mubaraki Mountain (Kuh-e Mobarak) and the southern part of Fujairah, UAE; to the west, the line connecting the end of Iran’s Qeshm Island and Umm Al Quwain, UAE.
