Last night I wanted to use my old NFT to do a small loan, but the page kept spinning, and the data for the floor price kept "freezing" and jumping around. I thought I was seeing things... It wasn't until later that I realized it's probably not the project dead, but rather the data pipeline is clogged: some are slow to update via indexers/Subgraphs, some RPCs are rate-limited, and when requests pile up, they just give up. The on-chain activity is happening, but the frontend just hasn't caught up.
Honestly, this kind of situation is the most frustrating, especially lately with all the debates about royalties and creator income. Secondary liquidity is already sensitive, and when the data jitters, people tend to jump to the conclusion that "something's wrong." My own reaction was pretty timid: if I didn't understand it, I just didn't touch it, closed the page, and went to sleep... When I checked again today, everything was back to normal. Anyway, I’d rather miss out on a chance than click confirm blindly during a lag.
