Recently, I saw the secondary market arguing about royalties again, to put it simply, everyone wants to "buy and sell freely," but creators are not just sitting around doing nothing. I used to support mandatory royalties quite a bit, but after browsing more on the chain, I found many people treating it as an arbitrage cost, and in the end, creators can't earn steadily, buyers find it expensive, and platforms still have to pretend to be neutral.

It's more like the controversy over "yield stacking and recursive staking"—it looks beautiful layer by layer, but risks and frictions also stack up layer by layer. Who will bear the ultimate responsibility? I'm now more inclined to think that royalties shouldn't be rigidly fixed in the protocol as taxes. Instead, could it be made more like "voluntary tipping + rights unlocking," where buyers are willing to pay, and creators can use content/community to retain people. Anyway, with my gas fee sensitivity, I just want to run away at every extra step or extra fee... Let's leave it at that for now.
