I almost sent myself away just now... When doing cross-chain transfers, I accidentally clicked on "Quick Arrival," and then I realized I copied the address incorrectly by one character. Luckily, the bridge was still "waiting for confirmation," and after a few minutes of hesitation, I reacted and canceled to start over. I used to complain about it being slow, but now I understand—this "waiting for confirmation" is essentially giving you and the system a cooling-off period: the transaction on the chain hasn't been finalized yet, and the more rushed you are, the easier it is to make a mistake.

I've recently reviewed the risks of bridges again, and many issues aren't inherent to the chain itself but stem from the bridge's "middleman" mechanism: multi-signature requirements depend on whether the signers are decentralized and whether they are from the same group; oracle/price feeds depend on whether the data sources are single or have been manipulated. Plus, with a bunch of testnets earning points and guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens, everyone is rushing even more... I can only say, during times like these, don't skimp on that waiting time—taking it slow isn't shameful; losing money is.
