The U.S. Axios news website on the 4th quoted a senior U.S. official as saying that President Trump is tired of the deadlock of "no agreement, no war" over Iran. The senior official said, "The President (Trump) wants action; he doesn't want to sit and wait. He wants to apply pressure; he wants to reach an agreement." The report also stated that starting from the 4th, the U.S. Navy will assist ships flying the American flag and other commercial vessels crossing the Strait of Hormuz, providing advice on how to avoid mines, and be prepared to intervene if Iran launches an attack.
