I just looked into something that really puts things into perspective: how much money is in the world and who controls it.
Most people have no idea about these figures. Let’s start with the basics: there are about 9 trillion dollars in physical cash circulating (bills and coins). It sounds like a lot until you see the full picture.
Now, when we add up money in bank accounts and deposits, we’re talking about completely different figures. Regular deposits amount to around 100 trillion dollars, but large deposits and institutional investments reach about 150 trillion dollars. This is where it gets interesting.
The global distribution of this money is what really opens your eyes. The United States controls nearly 62 trillion dollars of that total of 150 trillion. China follows with around 16 trillion, and Japan ranks third with approximately 6.5 trillion. When you see these proportions, you understand the true structure of global economic power.
Many say there isn’t enough money for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to keep growing. But look at these numbers: if the real money in the world is approximately 150 trillion dollars, the possibilities for adoption and growth are enormous. It’s not a matter of money being lacking, but of where it flows.
The important thing is to be aware of how much money is in the world and how it’s distributed. That gives you a clear idea of where power lies and how global markets move.
