I have seen that many new traders ask what BOS means on charts, so I wanted to share this because it’s quite important for understanding technical analysis.
BOS stands for "Break of Structure" and is one of those concepts that changes how you see price movements. Basically, it occurs when the price clearly breaks established support or resistance levels. It’s not just a small touch; it’s a significant move that says something important about the market.
The interesting part is that when you see a BOS, it usually means that market sentiment is changing. Traders use it to identify entry or exit opportunities because it indicates that market dynamics are shifting. If you break a major support, that’s a strong signal. If you break a resistance, it’s a completely different story.
In practice, many traders look for these break points to position themselves. I personally have noticed that after a clean BOS, volatility tends to increase, creating interesting opportunities. I’ve been observing how tokens like YGG, KAIA, and UNI behave lately, and it’s fascinating to see how they respond to these structure breaks.
If you’re learning technical analysis, BOS is definitely something you should have in your toolkit. It’s simple but powerful when you understand it well.
