just been looking into nft marketplace options lately and honestly the market's gotten pretty interesting again. saw trading volumes hit $179 million in the past week which is wild - highest we've seen since early 2024. punks especially are doing crazy things, up like 665% if the data's right.
so i went through some of the best nft marketplace platforms people actually use. opensea's still the biggest player, doing around $4.92 million in daily volume with like 27% of the market. magic eden's right there competing though, especially after they added bitcoin ordinals support - they're sitting at $4.76 million daily now. blur's interesting if you're into more advanced trading, they've got lending features and better price discovery tools.
tensor on solana is solid if you want faster transactions and lower fees. rarible's doing something different with their dao structure, letting community holders actually have a say. then there's mintable which is pretty chill if you just want to mint without paying fees upfront.
superrare's more exclusive, curated stuff for serious collectors. cryptopunks obviously has the brand recognition with the whole larva labs history. looksrare and some others round out the options depending on what blockchain you prefer.
it's actually pretty wild how many best nft marketplace choices there are now compared to a couple years ago. the space definitely matured. anyone else getting back into nfts with this recent momentum or am i the only one?
