Bitcoin Tops $80,000 as U.S.-Iran Headlines Lift Crypto

Bitcoin rose 2.6% to $80,150 late Sunday and moved above $80,000 as investors assessed the latest U.S.-Iran developments. Ether rose 3.6% to $2,382 and XRP gained 2% to $1.41, while U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs logged a fifth straight week of inflows totaling $153.87 million last week. Donald Trump said “Project Freedom” would start Monday morning to guide stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz, and a senior Iranian official warned that U.S. interference would violate the ceasefire.
