I was really startled just now... Transferring on-chain assets, I accidentally copied the wrong address with a slip of the hand. Luckily, I tested with a small amount first, and when I looked back, my heartbeat shot straight up to my throat. Just this one incident made me a bit more calm about the recent discussions on parallel/sharding and these "faster and stronger" narratives: while it's lively and exciting, in the end, you still need to think through the safety of your assets and how to exit. Especially around the time when the main public chain upgrades/maintenance, everyone in the group is guessing whether the ecosystem will move. Honestly, whether it moves or not, you need to know where your money is, how to withdraw, and what to do if the bridge breaks. Anyway, my current habit is: small exploratory transfers, whitelist addresses, and avoid operating when emotions are high... it's okay to go slow.
