Ever confused by those letters when you're checking crypto prices on an exchange? Yeah, I used to be too. So here's the breakdown that finally made sense to me.

When you see numbers with K, M, E, B, or T attached, they're just shorthand for counting huge numbers. K stands for 1000, so 1K is basically one thousand. Then M jumps to a million, which is way bigger. E represents 100 million, and honestly this one trips people up the most because it's not as commonly used in everyday chat.

Now what is 1B? That's 1 billion. You'll see this one a lot when people are talking about market caps or trading volumes. It's basically a thousand million, which sounds wild when you say it out loud. And if you want to go even bigger, T is for trillion, which is 1000 billion.

Think of it this way: the further you go down the alphabet, the bigger the number gets. K is the smallest on this list, then M, then E, then B, then T. Once you get the pattern, you'll spot these everywhere on the exchange and it'll make reading those huge numbers way less intimidating. Pretty useful when you're scrolling through trading data and trying to figure out what you're actually looking at.
