This is the third time I got itchy to chase the rally, almost hitting the buy button before stopping myself: What exactly am I getting from this new information, or am I just being emotionally driven by the K-line? To put it simply, if there’s no new information, don’t force additional positions; at most, just bring forward the original plan’s limit, don’t double up out of excitement. Recently, there’s been talk again about rate cut expectations, the US dollar index, and how risk assets are moving together up and down… I find it pretty stimulating, but these macro narratives can easily turn into “everyone’s talking about it, so I buy too.” I’m sticking to my old rule now: first write down the reasons for entering, stop-loss/take-profit points, and costs. If I can’t figure it out, then forget it; leaving it blank is better than acting impulsively. That’s it for now.
