I just reviewed something that has me thinking. Do we really know how much money is in the world? Because when you see it in numbers, it's mind-blowing.

The figure circulating is that there are approximately 37 trillion dollars in circulation globally. That includes everything: from the bills in your wallet to bank deposits, all added up. But here’s where it gets interesting.

If we’re talking about physical money only, coins and bills you can touch, we’re talking about around 6.6 trillion dollars. Quite a bit less, right? The bulk is in bank accounts and liquid assets. And if you think about it, that explains why the financial system is so fragile.

Now, what catches my attention is how all that is distributed. Because when you look at investments, derivatives, and cryptocurrencies together, they total over 1.2 trillion dollars. Cryptos are still a small portion, but growing. It’s as if the financial world is searching for alternatives without even realizing it.

The real question is: what is our share in all of this? Because if the total money in the world is 37 trillion, but most of it is concentrated in traditional systems, where do we fit in? That’s why many are looking at Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies differently. It’s not just speculation; it’s recognizing that money is transforming.
