Just saw an interesting breakdown of XRP holder distribution that got me thinking about how many XRP holders are actually out there. Apparently there are nearly 7.8 million addresses holding XRP, which is pretty wild when you dig into the numbers.

So here's what caught my attention - the average holding per wallet sits around 12,350 XRP, but at today's price of $1.41, that's only about $17,400. The thing is, this average is super skewed because of the whales. You've got just 5 wallets holding over 1 billion XRP each, and another 22 wallets in the 500 million to 1 billion range. That's a lot of concentration at the top.

But when you look at the actual breakdown of XRP holders, most wallets are tiny - over 1.3 million have 20 XRP or less, and more than 2.3 million hold between 20 and 500 XRP. So yeah, the number of XRP holders is huge, but the distribution is heavily weighted toward small retail positions while the big players control massive amounts.

One thing people were debating in the comments - does that average really represent what typical XRP holders actually have? Most people I see talking about it hold way less than the average. The whale activity is definitely pulling that number up.
