Bitcoin Reaches $80,000 as Trump’s Project Freedom Weighs on Oil
Bitcoin rose to $80,000 after President Donald Trump announced Project Freedom, a U.S. mission to escort neutral foreign vessels out of the Strait of Hormuz. Oil benchmarks moved lower, with Brent at $108 a barrel and WTI at $101 at press time. CENTCOM said it will deploy military assets to support the mission.
