Recently, someone was discussing whether PFP/ memberships are "long-term value" or "short-term attention," and my first reaction was: don't rush to add drama to it... often it's just a profile picture + a group of people wanting to stick together for warmth. Brands are more like slow-cooked soup; the excitement lasting three days is basically riding the emotional wave.

After being caught in that mindset a few times and having my mental state collapse, I realized: no matter how beautifully the membership benefits are written, it only counts when it's actually fulfilled. The on-chain data tools and tagging systems are now quite awkward, criticized for being laggy and easily misled, making me have to look twice at the "holder structure," afraid of being led astray by "storyboard data."

So will I still buy PFP?
Yes, but I treat it as a ticket + social tax, not as an investment plan.

Honestly, what makes people willing to stay long-term isn't how rare the avatar is, but whether there are people willing to step up during bad times, and whether continuous value is delivered. Anyway, I now ask myself before placing an order: am I looking for validation, or am I seeking exit liquidity... that's all for now.
