Guys, have you ever noticed how hard it is to find decent games for friends on your phone—games where you can just sit together and play? I recently dug through a ton of apps and found a few cool things that I’m happy to share.

Let me start with the classics—remember how, as kids, we used to play board games? Well, there’s this thing called Ludo King. It’s basically a digital version of that same game with a die and tokens. Four stones, you roll the die, you move along the track, but the main thing is not to let your opponent send you back to the start. That’s the kind of phone game for friends that’s perfect for a family evening.

If you’re a billiards fan, then 8 Ball Pool is basically a find. You can just challenge anyone in the world and play with them. The graphics aren’t impressive, but the gameplay is fun—you sink your balls and don’t let the opponent win. People climb the rankings and play for hours. Honestly, it’s better than going to a real billiards club.

Volley Hangout is kind of like simplified volleyball, but it’s very atmospheric. What’s cool is that you can invite a friend via Bluetooth if you’re sitting nearby. The game has tons of characters that you unlock with points, and there’s a mode against the computer for practice.

And Glow Hockey 2 is for two players on the same phone. Like real hockey, but on the screen. You score goals, you defend yourself—everything is simple. It’s an old game, but for some reason people still play it with pleasure, especially if the phone is bigger.

Overall, these kinds of games for friends on your phone are a great way to spend time, even if you already have enough internet. You don’t need super graphics, and you don’t need complicated rules. Just turn it on, invite a friend, and play. That’s it. Does anyone else find games like this, or am I the only one?
