If you chase, many shanzhai coins don't look very strong and are afraid of dropping. If you don't chase, most shanzhai coins' bottoms are continuously moving upward. Only by constantly watching until you can't take it anymore and then jumping in, only to get cut in half and curse loudly as you cut your losses.

So, my operational view on upcoming altcoins is that if you've truly missed out, just don't participate. Wait until this wave of market movement is over.
