I noticed interesting statistics about world currencies and passports. It turns out that the most expensive currency in the world is not the dollar or the euro, but the Kuwaiti dinar. It's hard to imagine that one KWD is worth more than several dollars. The top most expensive currencies are mainly from Middle Eastern countries: Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, followed by European heavyweights like the British pound and the Swiss franc.

But here's the funny part — the most expensive currency doesn't mean that this country has the most powerful passport. For example, Kuwait with its dinar ranks high in currency value, but its passport is not in the top 15 for visa-free mobility. On the other hand, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan — now those are truly royal passports. Their citizens can travel to almost any country without a prior visa.

Europeans are also not lagging behind: Germans, French, Spaniards, Italians — all of them are at the top in passport strength. Interestingly, the most expensive European currency is the Swiss franc, and the Swiss passport is also among the leaders. Overall, looking at the rankings, there's a clear correlation: developed countries have both strong currencies and powerful passports.

But the USA and Canada tell a slightly different story. The dollar, while not the most expensive, is the most widely used in the world. Their citizens' passports open doors almost everywhere. It turns out that a country's wealth and influence are not only reflected in how expensive its currency is but also in how freely its citizens can travel around the planet.
