I've noticed that many people in crypto and social media get confused with these numbers. Someone asked me recently what 1k means, and I realized not everyone knows the difference between K, M, and B. So here’s the basics.

Let's start with K. It's super easy, K comes from kilo and simply means thousand. So 1K is 1k, 10K is 10k, and so on. You see it everywhere when talking about followers, money, or prices in the market.

Next is M, which is a million. 1M = 1k,000. If you see something worth 5M, that’s five million. Pretty straightforward.

And then there's B, the billion (or one thousand million in some countries). 1B = 1M,000. Huge numbers you see when talking about market cap or large company budgets.

If you work online, trade, or follow crypto, you'll see these terms all the time. Understanding what 1k and the others mean saves confusion when someone talks about big numbers. Especially in crypto, it’s important to know if something is worth 100K or 100M, because the difference is huge.

The mental table is simple: K = thousand, M = million, B = billion. That’s all you need to know to avoid getting lost in conversations about large numbers.
