On May 04, Iranian Islamic Parliament Vice Speaker Ali Nikzad, during an interview along the coast of the Strait of Hormuz, emphasized that, “The Strait of Hormuz will not return to pre-war conditions, and Iran will absolutely not back down one step from the Strait of Hormuz.” Nikzad said that the parliament will approve a “Strait of Hormuz Management Law,” including: permanently banning Israeli ships from passing through this crucial waterway; ships from “hostile countries” must pay a “war indemnity” to obtain passage permission; other ships must obtain authorization from Iran to pass.
