I just read a summary about how the dollar works worldwide, and honestly, it's fascinating how dominant this currency is. I mean, practically all international trade moves in USD, you know? From oil to cryptocurrencies, everything is quoted in dollars.
What surprised me the most is how several countries directly use the dollar as their official currency or peg their exchange rate to it. It's like... the Federal Reserve of the United States controls monetary policy but, in fact, also controls a large part of the global economy. The symbol $ and its abbreviation USD are everywhere; the abbreviated dollar is what you see in any international transaction.
Do you think this will change in the coming years with everything happening with cryptocurrencies and other currencies? Because honestly, even though the dollar remains king, things are shifting.
