Recently, I started researching what the cheapest currencies in the world are, and honestly, the numbers are staggering. There are countries where the dollar is worth a huge amount.

Venezuela leads with its bolívar plummeting (4 million per dollar), but if you look at the full list, you realize this isn't just a problem for one country. Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Laos... all their currencies are destroyed. The pattern is clear: massive depreciation due to economic crises.

What's interesting is that it's not only conflict-affected countries. Indonesia, Vietnam, Colombia, Paraguay... emerging economies are also seeing their currencies devalue against the dollar. 1 USD gives you 14,985 Indonesian rupiahs, 24,000 Vietnamese dong. These figures make you think.

In Africa, things aren't better. Guinea, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia... their currencies are quoted in thousands per dollar. And then there are cases like Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh where the rupee and taka are also under pressure.

The cheapest currency in the world changes depending on how you look at it, but the point is that when you see these numbers together, you understand why so many people in these countries are seeking alternatives like crypto. The traditional monetary system isn't working the same for everyone.
