Stalemate Negotiations, Trump Considers Iran Peace Proposal Unfavorable to the US
Hope for an end to Middle East conflicts faces setbacks again after Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Iran's 14-point peace proposal. Speaking to the media on Sunday (5/3), Trump confirmed that he had received the document through a Pakistani mediator, but he considers Tehran's offer currently not beneficial to American interests.
Trump emphasized that talks in Islamabad remain stalled because Iran has提出条件 that he deems impossible to agree upon. Citing Al Arabiya, Trump told the Israeli Broadcasting Authority that he has studied the proposal and feels the points presented do not favor the US position. However, he added that his security advisory team will still thoroughly review the details of the proposal before taking any formal next steps.
The situation has become more tense following reports that Iran continues to block nuclear technology discussions in this negotiation under the instructions of Iran's Supreme Leader. On the other hand, Israeli media sources say their military remains on high alert to continue military operations if diplomacy truly breaks down.
