Gemini Wins CFTC Clearing License for In-House Derivatives Clearing

The CFTC approved Gemini’s Olympus unit as a Derivatives Clearing Organization on April 29, 2026, making Gemini one of 22 U.S. firms with that approval. The license lets Gemini clear derivatives trades on its Titan platform in-house instead of relying on a third party. The approval follows Gemini’s Designated Contract Market license from December 2025, while a Futures Commission Merchant license was not confirmed.
