I noticed an interesting trend — over the past few months, the list of the world's wealthiest people has undergone significant changes. Tech magnates are simply dominating like never before. AI, space technologies, cloud computing — all of these have boosted fortunes by hundreds of billions.
The person who is currently the richest in the world is Elon Musk. His wealth is estimated at around $726 billion. This is just a historic level. SpaceX has skyrocketed in valuation, Starlink is expanding, Tesla maintains its position, plus influence in AI and neurotechnology. No one has previously reached such personal wealth.
Next are other tech giants. Larry Page with his stake in Google — about $270 billion. Jeff Bezos with Amazon — $255 billion. Sergey Brin, Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg — all on the list thanks to dominance in AI and cloud services.
By the way, who is the richest person in the world according to other rankings? The picture is the same everywhere — Musk is pulling ahead. His lead is simply enormous.
The top 10 looks like this: Musk $726B, Page $270B, Bezos $255B, Brin $251B, Ellison $248B, Zuckerberg $233B, Arnault $205B, Ballmer $170B, Huang $156B, Buffett $151B.
What’s behind this? First, exponential growth in the AI sector. Second, space and semiconductor industries have soared in valuation. Third, American tech companies are just crushing the rest of the world. And most importantly — founders who held onto their shares instead of selling made the right bet.
It’s interesting to see how the person who is the richest in the world has literally redefined the norms of personal wealth. Previously, it was thought that $200 billion was the ceiling. Now it’s just the middle of the ranking.
Looking at the crypto sector, there’s also a redistribution happening, though on a smaller scale. But the trend is similar — technology and innovation create real wealth.
