Last night after work, I was watching the chain, and I clearly saw a swap appear first—then after a while it “disappeared” and came back. I almost thought I was seeing things. Later, I switched the RPC and changed to a different browser tab, and the displayed block height was different… That feeling is like watching a live broadcast, but in reality it’s different delayed relays, and your emotions get swept along in an instant.

Put simply, most of the “on-chain data” people talk about day to day is often the view provided to you by nodes/RPCs/indexers—not the blockchain itself directly showing it to you. If node synchronization is slow, the RPC is congested, and the indexers haven’t finished scanning yet, what you see will be delayed and even temporarily inconsistent. During the airdrop season, task platforms go after anti-sybil (anti–female witch) efforts, and a points-based system also keeps pushing people to check in—everyone ends up getting more and more competitive, like it’s just another job. But don’t forget: you may think you did the right steps, but it could simply be that some service hasn’t updated yet. Now I’ve gotten into the habit of checking two sources for important operations; it’s okay to go slower—at least don’t let delayed “on-chain truths” throw off your mindset.
