Lately, I’ve been a bit obsessed with earning testnet points. It was originally just for practice, but once I started, I silently calculated in my mind “how much I can exchange in the future,” and I kept drifting further off track. My stop-loss is actually pretty simple: set a time limit and a capital limit for each chain/project, and stop when the time or funds run out. Don’t risk exposing mainnet assets or signing permissions just for a few more points. Also, once I notice myself borrowing accounts, modifying scripts, or staying up late monitoring tasks, that means my emotions are taking over, so I just take a break for two days.

Recently, the group has been repeatedly sharing rumors about stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and de-pegging, and seeing everyone react so nervously is actually quite similar to the mindset of earning testnet points: high expectations, and whenever there’s a slight change, they want to add more positions or tasks. Anyway, I now prefer to treat the testnet as a gym—just practice the moves, and don’t think about earning a salary from it.
