I have been observing the Chinese cryptocurrency landscape lately, and there are some projects that truly deserve your attention if you're looking to diversify your portfolio. The Chinese crypto ecosystem has very unique characteristics that set it apart from the rest.
Let's start with NEO, which the community knows as the "Ethereum of China." It is currently trading around $2.78 with a market capitalization of $196M. What’s interesting about NEO is its focus on building a smart digital economy through smart contracts and verifiable digital identity. It’s a solid foundation if you want exposure to Chinese DApp infrastructure.
Next is Conflux, which honestly seems underrated to me. It uses a fairly innovative Tree-Graph mechanism and is backed by being one of the few projects officially approved within China. Its current price is around $0.06 with a market cap of $316.68M. It focuses on Web3 and digital identity, positioning it well for future government collaborations.
VeChain is another major player in Chinese crypto. It’s at $0.01 with a market cap of $622.45M. What sets VET apart is its direct connection to real supply chains. They track products from source to consumer in industries like manufacturing, fashion, automotive, and food. It’s one of the few crypto tokens with tangible real-world use cases.
Ontology also deserves consideration. At $0.07 and with a market cap of $70.14M, it specializes in digital identity and secure data management. Companies use it to build decentralized verification systems, which are increasingly in demand.
Finally, QTUM presents an interesting proposition: it combines Bitcoin’s security with Ethereum’s programmability. It trades around $0.88. It’s a balanced option if you want to develop decentralized applications with good performance.
What catches my attention about the Chinese crypto ecosystem in general is that these projects are not just speculation. They have real use cases and, in several cases, government backing. If you plan to have exposure to this sector, these five projects should be on your radar. Personally, I monitor them on Gate to follow their movements.
