Chan Mo-po: Hong Kong's Q1 GDP Growth Expected to be Strongest in Nearly 5 Years

On May 4, the estimated figures for Hong Kong’s first quarter GDP will be released on Tuesday (May 5). Financial Secretary Chan Mo-po stated in a blog that with continued improvement in private consumption, along with favorable performance in exports and fixed investment, the estimated GDP growth for the first quarter is expected to accelerate further from the revised 4% growth in the fourth quarter of last year, marking the strongest quarterly growth in nearly five years.
