Telegram games with cryptocurrency exploded in 2024, and I decided to figure out which ones are truly worth paying attention to. It turned out they’re not just clicker games for the sake of clicks—each game offers something unique.
Let’s start with Notcoin, which attracted over 35 million players. The concept is simple: collect virtual coins, then convert them into real NOT tokens on the TON network. When the token launched in May 2024, it quickly made it into the top 100 crypto by market cap. Then they expanded the ecosystem, added storyline elements with Lost Dogs—now you can complete quests and earn different tokens. The current price of NOT is around $0.00, but historically, it was a serious project.
Hamster Combat is basically a meme. 300 million players manage virtual crypto exchanges where hamsters earn HMSTR tokens. It sounds funny, but people actually played this game. The developers promised a second season and new features in the TON ecosystem.
Catizen took a different approach—here, you grow and breed virtual cats, earning vKITTY, which can be exchanged for CATI. Currently, CATI is trading at about $0.05. The project positions itself as a bridge between Telegram and Web3, promising to create a whole hub of mini-applications.
Moon-bot is an interesting hybrid: a Telegram bot linked to a major platform that allows you to mine tokens like DOGS and NOT for simple tasks. If you’re already on an exchange, you can easily connect and track your progress.
X Empire (formerly Musk Empire) gained 35 million users since July 2024. You build a virtual empire and earn cryptocurrency. Interestingly, they released NFT vouchers for early participants—one was sold for nearly 7 TON (about $36). This was a way to prepare people for the launch of the main token.
Rocky Rabbit involves training virtual rabbits, sending them into battles, solving puzzles, and earning RabBitcoin ($RBTC). The game reached 30 million players. Airdrops were scheduled for September 2024, and the token was supposed to be listed on major platforms.
Major is the newest in this list. 30 million active users solve puzzles, complete quests, and collect ranking points. There’s even the “Durov Puzzle”—guess the sequence in Pavel Durov’s avatars. The $MAJOR token was chosen via community vote, and most of the supply is to be distributed among active players. The current price of MAJOR is around $0.06.
What I’ve noticed: all these crypto games are built on simple mechanics—clicks, quests, inviting friends. But each tries to add something unique: storyline, characters, competitions. The popularity of these Telegram games shows that people are willing to spend time on games if there’s potential earning involved.
However, it’s important to understand: market volatility, security risks, delays in token launches—all of this is real. Before investing your time, research each project, protect your assets, and remember that blockchain games are a rapidly evolving space with uncertainty. Crypto games can be an interesting way to earn, but they’re not a cure-all.
