Just noticed why cryptos are crashing so hard today - it's not just one thing, it's a whole chain reaction. Bitcoin dropped below $75k and that triggered massive liquidations. We're talking $237 million in BTC long positions getting wiped out just today, and over $2 billion in the past week. When Bitcoin moves like that, everything else follows because most derivatives trading is on Bitcoin. The real issue is leverage unwinding across the board. Open interest in perpetual futures dropped 4.4% in a single day, which means traders are cutting risk everywhere. Plus there's broader market pressure - stocks are weak in Europe and people are worried about tighter monetary policy. That risk-off sentiment is spreading to crypto. So why are cryptos crashing? It's basically a deleveraging cascade. As Bitcoin falls, forced liquidations create sell pressure, which pushes it lower and triggers more liquidations. The whole market gets dragged down because Bitcoin still dominates price action. Until we see Bitcoin stabilize above $75k support, this volatility probably continues.
