Recently, I came across several PFP project membership benefits, which basically are "group access + whitelist + some merchandise," packaged as a brand. In the short term, it can definitely attract a lot of attention, but I care more about those small details on the chain: Is the old address still paying renewal fees? Are people actually using the benefits exchange? Who has been gradually eating away at the floor price? If it's just KOLs taking turns shouting, it will fade away in a couple of weeks.
Now, the wave of AI Agents and automated trading also seems similar. The narrative is being hyped up, and as on-chain interactions increase, phishing authorizations and strange contracts also multiply. I’d rather go slower and first see if the project has properly handled those "boring security" aspects like permissions, signatures, and revocations. Whether memberships and brands can last long ultimately depends on whether someone is willing to keep spending money, not just a temporary hype. Anyway, I’ll keep lurking in niche pools and low-profile addresses; it’s normal if I don’t hit anything.
